Getting Started with PLC Assist
PLC Assist is an AI-powered engineering assistant for industrial automation. Connect to your PLC project and use natural language to write, review, and improve your Structured Text code -- all from your browser.

Prerequisites
Before you begin, make sure you have:
- A supported PLC environment: CODESYS V3.5 SP17+ or TwinCAT XAE 3.1+
- A PLC Assist account (sign up at the dashboard)
- A modern web browser (Chrome, Edge, or Firefox recommended)
- An active internet connection for AI features
Quick Start
Get started with PLC Assist in four simple steps:
1. Create Your Account
Sign up for a PLC Assist account through our dashboard. You can start with a free trial to explore the features.
2. Install the Bridge
Download and install the bridge for your platform. See the installation guide for detailed instructions.
3. Connect Your Project
Open your PLC project and start the bridge. PLC Assist will automatically detect your project structure, including all POUs, GVLs, and DUTs.
4. Start Coding with AI
Use the AI chat to generate, modify, or explain your Structured Text code. The AI understands your project context and can help you write better code faster.
