Get up and running with PLC Assist in minutes
PLC Assist is an AI agent for industrial automation. Connect it to your IDE and use natural language to write, review, and improve your Structured Text code — all from your browser.
Supported platforms
- CODESYS V3 — fully supported (V3.5 SP18 or later)
- Beckhoff TwinCAT — fully supported (3.1 or later)
- Siemens TIA Portal — coming soon
Prerequisites
- A supported IDE: CODESYS V3.5 SP18+ or TwinCAT XAE 3.1+
- A PLC Assist account
- A modern web browser (Chrome, Edge, or Firefox recommended)
- An internet connection (the agent runs in the cloud)
Quick start
1. Create your account
Sign up at the dashboard. The free trial includes a generous batch of AI requests — no credit card required.
2. Install the bridge
Download and run the bridge for your platform. See the installation guide — the whole process takes about a minute.
3. Connect your IDE
Open your project in CODESYS or TwinCAT, then start the bridge. PLC Assist automatically detects your project structure — function blocks, global variables, data types, and library references.
4. Start coding with AI
Use the AI chat to generate, modify, or explain Structured Text code. The agent understands your project context and can run the compile-fix loop on its own.
